Brian Delaney, Glide, 2020
Brian Delaney, inspired by century-old farm tractor tires found on his land, designed Glide. Wheelock’s Welding assisted in welding and coating, bringing the larger-than-life size bicycle sculpture to life. Glide is a nod to the bucolic and pastoral lands that flank the Leelanau Trail. The final installation reflects the sense of community pride instilled by the TART Trails network.
Brian Delaney is a Traverse City transplant. A three-time cancer survivor, Delaney’s enthusiastic outlook on life is infectious.
