Project Updates
Connecting the Three Mile Trail to the cluster of school campuses near Hammond Road in East Bay Township has been a long-standing community priority and remains a critical yet unfinished effort. Currently, the trail extends approximately one mile along Three Mile Road, beginning at Keith J. Charters Traverse City State Park on US-31, connecting to the TART Trail at Parsons Road, and ending just south of East South Airport Road. Continuing the trail south the Hammond and completing this gap is essential to creating a safe, continuous corridor that supports students, families, and residents who rely on non-motorized transportation.
We are actively raising funds to support construction of a trailhead and the first mile of the trail extension, from the current terminus to the Looyenga Family Trail at Mitchell Creek Meadows. Find out more, and donate here.
