Juneteenth Run/Walk/Stroll

This event is open to the public. Come walk, run, and be in the community to celebrate Juneteenth on the weekend.

This important event marks the date enslaved African Americans were finally liberated in Galveston Island, TX. Their freedom came two years after the Emancipation Proclamation named all formerly enslaved people in the US “forever free.”

TART Trails will assist with the Run/Walk/Stroll Check-in and will provide water and snacks for all participants at Medalie Park. If interested in volunteering for this event, email Jonny Tornga (jonny@traversetrails.org)!
