Boardman River Trail Work Bee

Want to help get trail on the ground? Make plans to join Boardman River Trail Ambassadors for a work bee this Thursday, October 22nd. The group will meet at the Oleson Bridge Trailhead. Vasa Headwaters Work Bee

Warm and dry weather conditions this fall helped the DNR and loggers complete the salvage logging project on the Headwaters 5K section of the Vasa Pathway. The project served to remove downed aspen trees that fell in this summer’s August 2nd wind storm that took out thousands of trees in the region while creating a more sustainable forest populated with longer-lived tree species with the focus on long-term recreation and public enjoyment. TART Trails is hosting Wednesday night work bees on the Vasa Pathway through the rest of summer and there's a lot of work to do! The work accomplished through these work bees will result in less erosion and sand, safer lines, improved sight distances, and a better overall trail experience for all users.
