West Boardman Lake Trail Public Input Session

West Boardman Lake Trail Public Input Session is Thursday May 19, 2016 from 6-8 PM at the Hagerty Center in Traverse City

Following extensive public input comprised of interviews, focus groups, a public open house, and an on-line public comment period, design alternatives for the completion of the West Boardman Lake Trail are ready for their debut.

Prein & Newhof, the firm hired to produce preliminary design for the completion of the trail, has been busy working on conceptual design options which will be presented at the public input session on Thursday, May 19 from 6-8 PM at the Hagerty Center in Traverse City.  A preferred option has emerged and will be shared, along with a presentation of how this preferred option aligns with the community input received to date.

Following the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to share their thoughts, ask questions, and provide feedback on the preferred option.

Based on feedback received, the design team will work out a final draft to be presented to the Traverse City Commission and Garfield Township Board of Trustees in July. Proposals for funding trail development and maintenance will accompany the final preliminary design concept in July.
