Guided Snowshoe Hike
January 7 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pmFREE
This is a family friendly event you don’t want to miss! Meet at the Vasa trailhead warming building at 1:00 pm. Participants will need to bring their own snowshoes. There are three stacked loops, with the total distance being around 2.5 miles. We will travel at a leisurely pace. The Vasa Snowshoe Trail starts behind the grooming barn and goes up the west side of the West Branch of Acme Creek and returns down the east side. A very scenic trail that offers the chance to see salmon in the creek and to hear Barred Owls. If there isn’t sufficient snow for snowshoeing, we will still hike the creek valley – sturdy hiking boots highly recommended. The hike will be led by TART Trails Ambassador, Jim Heffner.
