Trail Benches
Sponsoring a bench on the trail is a wonderful way to support TART Trails operations and trail maintenance. Often the benches are in memory of a loved one, colleague or friend. Benches on the TART Trail system are made of pressure treated wood that will last for decades and are typically installed in the summer months. Properly placed benches are a fine enhancement appreciated by trail users. For $1,500, bench sponsors can work with TART Trails staff to place their bench, with memorial plaque if desired.

Bench sponsors are recognized as a TART Trails Sustainer’s Circle member in the year their gift is made. As a Sustainer, bench sponsors receive an invitation for two to our Oktoberfest dinner party. Each fall we gather to thank our Sustainers, provide an update on trail successes and announce the recipient of the annual Jim Mudgett Trail Pioneer Award.

Mile Marker Sponsorship
Display your support for TART Trails to the many thousands of trail users by sponsoring a mile marker along the TART Trail or Leelanau Trail. You will be ensuring access to trails for your friends, neighbors and customers. All funds are designated for operations and maintenance of the trail system. A one-year mile marker sponsorship is $1,500.

Mile marker sponsors get a sign on the TART Trails or Leelanau Trail for one year and are recognized as a TART Trails Sustainer’s Circle member. As a sponsor, you also receive an invitation for two to our Oktoberfest dinner party. Each fall we gather to thank our Sustainers, announce the recipient of the annual Jim Mudgett Trail Pioneer Award, and provide an update on trail progress.

Vasa K Marker Sponsorhip
Vasa Kilometer Marker Sponsorships are available each February along the Vasa Pathway. Proceeds from the Vasa K-Markers are allocated to the costs of trail grooming. K-Marker sponsorship is $250 and includes a sign on the Vasa Pathway in February for the North American Vasa race, regular emailed grooming reports, and a grooming badge for the season. PLEASE NOTE: The Michigan Department of Natural Resources no longer allows Business Names on the K-sponsor signs. However, nonprofit organizations, schools and personal names are acceptable.
